 Map of California Counties: A map of the counties in California is also helpful if you're going to be traveling around the state. For your convenience, we've provided two free printable maps: A map of Northern California Counties and a combined map of Central California Counties & Southern California Counties. These will give you an idea of the relative size and location of each of the 58 counties in California.
For planning purposes, you may want to know which counties are in Southern California, which counties are in Northern California or which counties are located in a particular region. You can use the County Maps below in conjunction with the California Regions Overview and Maps to see which counties are located in each of the 12 California regions. You can also use our handy "California City Index" to find the regions in which over 700 cities are located.
We also thought you might find it interesting to checkout the "California County Facts" in the table below. This table lists all 58 California counties alphabetically, giving the population, area in square miles, county seat and year founded for each county.
